I’m so excited about the TOMS x Prabal Gurung collaboration because I love the prints and styles available. TOMS x Prabal Gurung is a big deal because TOMS will donate £5 to support Prabal’s own Shikshya Foundation in Nepal for every pair sold from this collection. Nepal is Prabal’s home country and the inspiration for his collections. The £5 per pair donation is in addition to TOMS One for One program.

Prabal Gurung is a fashion designer based in New York and his Shikshya Foundation in Nepal supports the education of underprivileged children. More recently, the Shikshya Foundation are helping the relief efforts in Nepal.

“What excites me about collaborating with TOMS is our shared belief in inspiring others and giving back. We’re coming together to make a difference in the world by what we do.”

— Prabal Gurung, fashion designer

TOMS is one of my favourite brands because for every pair of TOMS sold, a pair of shoes is given to a child in need, it’s called One For One. I am very familiar with the TOMS brand because I worked for schuh  who are one of the stockists for TOMS. I have seen so many gifting trip films and some of the schuh team have shared their extraordinary experiences from these trips. TOMS use the gifting trips to give shoes and other supplies to people in need in developing countries. It really does make a difference when you can see the brand in action and you get to speak to the people who work behind the scenes. TOMS are simply amazing and I applaud them because the brand has grown so much with the footwear collection expanding and now sales from TOMS bags, eyewear and coffee help so many more people in need in different ways.

I couldn’t wait to wear my TOMS x Prabal Gurung Fair Isle Classics. I styled them up with my favourite jumpsuit and cute mini bag for a Saturday afternoon out with friends.
