By now you should know I have a thing for trainers. Before I moved to London I probably had about 3 pairs of trainers, 8 years later I have lost count.

Gone are the days when trainers were those ugly things you wore to the gym. Maybe you just liked being a rebel at school, when showing off the latest pair Nike TN’s was the most important thing in your life. Now trainers are officially a fashion thing. They are acceptable as work wear, some of the biggest couture designers in the world (Dior, Chanel etc) have their own interpretations and they are so easy to collect. Women’s trainers have moved on from just pink, white and mint green options and I have truly embraced these developments.

Keep it Classic

My ridiculous collection of kicks includes too many pairs of Reebok Classics. I started collecting them last summer when they released the gold and silver Classics. As you know if I like something and it fits nicely I buy all the colours, it’s good to have options. I have lost count of the amount of pairs I have now.

I’m NOT a Skater Girl

The Vans Classic Slip were a thing WAY before Celine did them and skaters were experiencing this level of comfort ages before the rest of us caught on. I never thought Vans would be for me but now my collection includes Metallics, black leather, white fabric and Disney print slip ons, as well as the Skate Hi and the Vans Old Skool which turned 50 years old this year.

I dabble in Nike here and there but this summer everything changed when I got the bright blue Cortez. Naturally I need the black and white and another coloured pair…

Anyway I could go on all day about how much I love being comfortable in my Classics and how going to clubs wearing trainers has change my life but I won’t.

Check out my latest YouTube video on How To Style Trainers with a few styling tips and my personal favourites.

Apologies for the sound, the air con unit was playing up so try your best to ignore the background noise.
