Sometimes you just need to spend the afternoon on an amazing yacht drinking Champagne being fabulous. That is exactly what I did with Purple Turtle Charters in St Kitts when Trish and Don Lockman invited us aboard their stunning yacht. We sailed to the beautiful island of Nevis and it was incredible.

Although I get sea sick, I still take every opportunity to do boat trips whenever I’m on holiday. I love that free feeling of being at sea (before I start to feel sick) and looking back at the views behind and not knowing what’s ahead. This experience didn’t disappoint at all. Trish, Don and their two crew members welcomed us (there were 5 of us in the group) with a tour of their fabulous two bedroomed yacht where the only rule is, no shoes on deck.

They gave us all the safety info and details about the journey and then it was time to start popping bottles, my favourite time of the day. As well as Champagne there was a full selection of alcoholic and soft drinks including bottled water which I needed on the way back. We talked, we laughed, we took pictures, sang along to the soca music playing and before I knew it we were on the beach in Nevis.

We had lunch at Turtle Bar on the beach in Nevis along with cocktails, it would have been rude not to. Then it was time to check out the beach and show off the bikini I have been desperate to wear all year!

The sea was pretty rough so our visit to Nevis was short and sweet but I am so glad I managed to see St Kitts sister island on this trip. Watching the sunset on the way back was priceless, it was gorgeous. To celebrate the day, we did alcoholic shots on the journey back to St Kitts, cheers guys!

Thanks for an amazing experience Purple Turtle Charters, we had the best day and I look forward to seeing you again the next time I am in St Kitts.
