When: Saturday 27th June

Where: Claridges Hotel, Mayfair

My gorgeous friend Karen, the first stylist I met when I moved to London married her long time love Junior and it was beautiful.

The reception was at Claridges luxury hotel in Mayfair London and it was simply stunning. They had the most beautiful white flowers everywhere and hundreds of candles so you can imagine how romantic it looked. The bride and groom opted for a no social media policy so unfortunately I can’t show you any pictures of the decorations etc but believe me when I say I have never seen anything like it. It was like celebrities wedding you see on TV where everything is just so elegant.

The bride looked exquisite, the groom wore a bow tie and tux and so did all the tiny boys in the wedding party, it was the cutest thing.

Anyway  let’s talk about what I wore…

Guests were given a black tie dress code with dresses past the knee in muted colours, black, white metallic or prints. At first I thought, what no brights? Then I remembered I had THAT skirt! The shoes are so old, like 7 years old and I nearly sold them at a car boot sale twice, I know, good save right. I love bodysuits because you can wear spanx underneath, you don’t get that annoying tucking your top in constantly situation and they make me look slimmer, or so I think. This bodysuit was extra special because it’s amazing quality, fits like a glove and I felt great in it, thank you Wolford.

Hair and makeup

I did my own makeup using  MAC products, my lipstick is old faithful Ruby Woo,  I’m still waiting on a glam squad FYI. Excuse the oily selfie, it was the end of the night and I was bored waiting for a cab.

I decided to have white gelish  nails because i have a few more weddings coming up and all of my outfits are so different and white goes with everything. I like white nails in the summer because it looks classic and clean.

Somehow I managed to pin my braids up and to the side, I’m not sure how this happened but I am going to try and recreate this look again and take pics next time.
