CHICKEN SHOP

Chicken Shop has been on my restaurant list for the longest time. I was all geared up to have lunch there after my birthday at Cheeky a few months ago but it was a Sunday and it was closed.

I made the most of my stay at The Hoxton Hotel and took the lift from my floor directly down to Chicken Shop.

I treated my mom who was visiting from Birmingham to a quick dinner at this Nando’s upgrade. We were greeted at the hotel entrance by Alexandria who was so friendly, I’m not even just saying that, she was really efficient and made the experience really easy. Alexandria showed us to our seats and recited the menu. We were unsure about the portion sizes but she suggested we go for the half chicken and 1 portion of crinkle cut fries. I decided to add corn on the cob on the side which turned out to be more than enough food for us. I’m pretty sure after the order went through, within 10 minutes it was presented in front of us. I like that, fast service with a smile. We washed it down with fresh lemonade and I think I had a glass of water too.

I really shouldn’t have had dessert but who can resist apple pie and ice cream when they describe it as deep filled and yummy. It looked and smelt amazing and a generous slice was cut from the big pie and dished up at our table. I wish I got a pic of it but I ate it first without thinking, greedy much? I honestly believe it was the best apple pie I’ve ever had, it was so good!

The total bill came to just under £40 which is pretty good for two people.

Chicken Shop is 100% It’s a Style Thing approved!  I will be going there again because the service was quick, the staff were friendly and the food was so tasty. I didn’t feel rushed and they didn’t bother us loads either.

If you go and try Chicken Shop let me know what you think.
