When- Tuesday 5th May

Where- TOMS store 5-7 Fouberts Place W1F 7PY

I was lucky enough to be invited to the TOMS in store party last week. It was full of people and there were plenty of drinks going around, my kind of event. I caught the last 10 minutes of a live singing act and then the DJ came on to make it more of a party vibe.

Although I am familiar with the brand and their One for One message, “With every product you
purchase, TOMS will help a person in need”, this event highlighted so much more. Nine years ago the company started by giving a person in need a pair of TOMS for  every TOMS shoe purchase. Now they have expanded to bag sales helping to provide the safe birth for a mother and baby in need and for every pair of sunglasses sold TOMS will help give sight to a person in need. I tried out the Luisa in Blonde Tortoise shades and I love them, another addition to my wish list.

This brand is doing amazing things and helping so many people in need.  I’ve watched a few videos of projects they have done and not to sound like a total baby but I did tear up.

Their latest campaign, One Day Without Shoes, to celebrate their 9th birthday is by far the biggest. This campaign runs across social media so you can get involved and it doesn’t involve tipping a bucket of freezing cold water over your head. All you have to do is take a picture of your bare feet and post on Instagram with the hashtag #withoutshoes by 21st May 2015.  For every picture posted TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need.  Don’t forget to check back on the site to see how many pairs will be given after the deadline.

I’m not one for bare feet pics but I have just posted mine on Instagram and given a pair of shoes to a child to in need, are you going to do the same?
